Self-directed learning is central to the design
of Pediatrics in Practice. Each teaching strategy
has been developed into an on-line module. Easy-to-use
interactive techniques are integrated into each
teaching strategy to foster fast and efficient
learning. Active learning features, such as journaling
and action plan development, are included to enhance
the translation of new knowledge and discovery
to greater practice performance in your setting.
When these techniques are appropriately utilized,
we believe child health educators are better positioned
to shape future health professionals’ understanding
of health promotion, and in turn, the health and
well-being of children and families. We encourage
you to use these components as you complete the
interactive lessons.
Curriculum materials are available in the PDF
