A Bright Futures practitioner communicates effectively, partners with, and educates children and their families as their advocate to promote health and prevent illness in a time efficient manner. A wide variety of materials are available.

Collaboration Essentials fosters an alliance between pediatric and psychiatric trainees to care for the mental health needs of children in the 21st century. Based on Bright Futures principles, it describes the technique of case-based discussions to encourage problem-based learning in the psychosocial developmental aspects of child health.

Feeding Your Baby is a series of 6 online interactive modules designed to foster knowledge about infant nutrition with a goal of increasing breastfeeding rates in infants from birth through 6 months of age. Maternal responses to questions form a needs assessment which the health care practitioner can use to facilitate anticipatory guidance during the well child visit in a time efficient manner.

Pedicases is a learner-centered, case-based curriculum that emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention, consistent with the Bright Futures guidelines. Pedicases includes more than 30 self-contained educational modules, covering important topics in child growth, development, behavior, and adolescent health.
