Bright Futures Study

To interactive lessons

Welcome!

Thank you for participating in the Implementation and Evaluation of a Bright Futures Curriculum within CORNET Continuity Practices study. Your completion of this curriculum is part of a research initiative examining pediatric resident competency in the core concepts of Bright Futures and oral health promotion. This initiative is funded by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau.

About the Curriculum: The curriculum materials are adapted from the Pediatrics in Practice Child Health Promotion Curriculum and the Open Wide Oral Health Training for Health Professionals.

The curriculum is comprised of 7 interactive, online modules. Each module will take 20-35 minutes to complete. The entire curriculum will take approximately 3.5 hours. Each module is designed to be self-directed and provides interactive and reflective learning opportunities.

You will be able to save your work when you complete a module, or if you must take a break during the curriculum. Where indicated, please save your work before closing.

While you may complete the modules in any order, we recommend that you complete module, “Building a Healthy and Bright Future,” first.

Deadline: Please complete the entire curriculum by January 31, 2008.

What you need to complete this curriculum:

  • Internet connection with Flash Player 8 or higher installed.
  • Speakers for audio component

Test your connection now. To do this play the video.

Results of test:

  • If the video played and you can hear it, your system is configured correctly.
  • If you see the video, but can not hear it, you have the correct software, but your speakers are probably off. Check to see if the audio is turned off on your computer or if your speakers are off.
  • If you do not see a video screen or if the video won't play, install the free Flash Player now.

Troubleshooting: If you have any technical difficulties, please send an email to info@pediatricsinpractice.org. Put "Oral Health Study" in the subject line and explain the problem in the body of the email. Most emails are answered within 24 hours.

Questions: Please contact your faculty director.
